Socle

Frequently asked questions

Trial and plans

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No. When you create your organization, you get the Pro plan for 14 days, with no payment method. At the end of the trial, you go back to the Free plan if you don't subscribe.

What does the Free plan include?

Up to 3 members, 3 projects and 2 GB per member, with encrypted messaging, Drive, Calendar and Docs. It's suited to trying Socle or a very small project.

What's the difference between Pro and Business?

Pro covers most teams (50 members, 20 GB per member). Business adds capacity (500 members, 100 GB per member) and priority support within 24 business hours.

How is the price calculated?

Per organization member and per month. The amount adjusts automatically when someone joins or leaves the team. Clients invited to the portal are free.

Can I change plans?

Yes, at any time from the Organization page. The new price applies from the next payment.

Payment and invoices

Which payment methods do you accept?

Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link, via Stripe, which collects the payment, applies your country’s taxes and sends you receipts and invoices. Socle never sees your card number.

Will I receive an invoice?

Yes, a compliant invoice is issued for each payment. It's available on the Organization page and can be saved as PDF.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, in one click. The plan stays active until the end of the month already paid, with no commitment or fees.

What happens if a payment fails?

You have one week to settle it. After that, the organization goes back to the Free plan, without data loss.

Security and data

Where is my data hosted?

In France. The database and files are encrypted at rest: a stolen copy of the disks would be unreadable.

What does “end-to-end encrypted” mean?

Your messages, calls, Drive files, projects, calendars, docs, mockups and Merise models are encrypted on your device, with keys that only you and your collaborators hold. Neither Socle, nor the host, nor someone breaking into the server can read them.

Is a deleted file really erased?

Yes. A file deleted from the Drive or a conversation is permanently erased from the server. No third-party service has access to it.

What if I forget my password?

Your password also protects your messaging key. If you lose it, your encrypted message history can't be recovered: that's the price of real privacy.

Is my data used for advertising or to train an AI?

No. No advertising, no tracker, no reselling, no training of artificial intelligence models.

Can I retrieve or delete my data?

Yes. From the settings, you download all your data in one file, and account deletion is immediate.

How do I protect my account?

Enable two-factor authentication in the settings. You can also see your signed-in devices and sign one out remotely.

Features

Can my clients follow their project?

Yes, with the client portal (Pro and Business plans): a link shows them the progress and lets them leave you feedback, without creating an account.

Can a guest join a video call?

Yes. A meeting link is enough, even without a Socle account. The video call stays end-to-end encrypted.

How many people in a call?

Up to 4 people, the call goes directly between your devices. Beyond that, our video relay takes over for meetings with dozens of participants, always encrypted.

Can I mock up an interface?

Yes, with Design: frames, reusable components, constraints, flex and grid layout, fonts, PNG, SVG and PDF export, and your collaborators' cursors live.

Can I design a database?

Yes, with Merise modeling: MCD checked against Merise rules, MLD, data dictionary and SQL for PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, SQL Server and Oracle. The script can be complete or contain only the changes since the last export, yours or a collaborator's.

Can I sync the calendar with my phone?

Yes. A subscription address can be added to Google Calendar, Outlook or the iPhone Calendar.

Is there a mobile app?

Socle installs like an app from your phone's browser, with notifications.

Migration

Can I import my Trello boards?

Yes, with lists, cards, checklists and archives.

What about Azure DevOps?

Yes. Paste the project address and a read access token: the board columns, work items, their owners and their due dates are imported. The token stays in your browser.

What about Asana, Notion or Monday?

Yes, from their CSV export for projects, and Notion's Markdown pages for the Wiki.

Can I recover my Slack history?

Yes. Import the Slack export archive: channels become channels, and messages are encrypted on import.

And my Google Drive or Dropbox files?

Download the folder, then import it into the Drive: the folder tree is recreated identically.
